The "market is closed" error indicates that you are trying to place or modify an order outside the product's trading hours. You can't place or change orders on weekends, market holidays, or when the market is otherwise closed.

To check a product's trading session, right-click on the product in the market watch window and select "specifications," This will display the product's trading hours.
