What documentation is required to open a live trading account with Vantage?
To open a live trading account, Vantage requires the submission of proof of identity and proof of address documentation alongside your application, in accordance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
The proof of identity (POI) document must meet the following criteria:
- The full name on the document must match exactly with the name of the account holder.
- The date of birth must indicate 18 years or older.
- The document must be valid and not expired.
- The document must include a clear, official photograph of the account holder.
- Both sides must be provided if it’s a two-page document.
- All four edges of the document must be visible.
- The document must be high-quality, clear, and legible.
- It must be officially issued by the government.
Acceptable proof of identity documents include:
- Valid passport (including the signature page)
- Valid national identity card (if applicable in your jurisdiction)
Accepted upload formats:
- High-quality photo
- Scan (original, unaltered)
Accepted file types (up to 5 MB):
- .jpg
- .jpeg
- .png
The proof of address (POA) document must meet the following requirements:
- The full name of account holder, exactly matching the name on the proof of identity.
- The full name and residential address (no PO box addresses).
- The issue date, which must be within the past 3 months.
- All four edges of the document must be visible.
- The document must be high-quality, clear, and legible.
- The document should be displayed in multi-colour.
Acceptable proof of address documents include:
- Bank statement
- Utility bill (gas, electricity, water, phone, internet)
- Government-issued tax document
